@calliopia: did I? Didn't know trucks and ambulances were considered naughty...well, the times they are a-changing! :P
@ mesjay: yep, I do. All these pictures were actually taken on the same day, so you can imagine that driving to work is quite an adventure. Did you notice the mud and places where the alcatra has given up the struggle?
@sekibuhchhuak: ka hrelo reng reng, an inkawmngeih hmel ka tia, ka la mai mai :)

@aduhi: I'd love to take credit for the skilled driving but I can't say I can drive and shoot in all honesty! This particular day, I was with a friend, and I made him stop everytime I wanted to take a pic. I could sense his patience wearing thin, though, so I kept mum when I aimed the lens at the signboard... hence the blur :)
@vana: thanks for the calculations :) No wonder I'm so broke all the time! I've been literally burning it up. :(

I find it absolutely amazing that it looks almost like complete wilderness on your way to work. It's absolutely beautiful and you're lucky as hell!
And btw, that was a pretty long break you took. Almost a month's gap between your posts..tsk tsk! That's lazy blogging! But you're forgiven if you were really busy :)
It will be my greatest pleasure nay, biggest passion to be your link. Thanx for your comment and indeed for all your appreciation. And i am happy to know that there's still a woman among the Mizos with such a penmanship (pen-womanship rather).
She can not only drive and take pictures at the same time but also applies make-up on her cheeks using the rear mirror while miss-calling her friends on her mobile and taking out the "chinai" of her "kuhva hring" all at the same time. She is my super woman, you. :)

@faka: Tata 407's are the rage in our part of the world, lolz. You should see the huge lorries lining up next to the FCI Godown. God forbid that you should be behind them in the uphill climbs... I'm not sure that they're allowed to run around with all the black stuff that they emit from their exhaust pipes... but nobody checks. :(
@Jerusha: Thanks for making me see this from a different perspective. "lucky" wasn't exactly the word that was on my mind, but you do have a point. Yeah, it is green and lush and for the most part, an enjoyable ride. Of course, you do have to keep in mind the sad state of the roads (which get tiresome on a daily basis), the narrowness of the roads, (where you have to be very adept at negotiating with other vehicles), and the possibility of landslides during the rains. All in all, an interesting journey.
Hey, you've been keeping tabs on me, huh? Yeah, this time, it was plain laziness that kept me from updating my blog for so long. Sorry :p
@bragi: oinks! Maybe we should start a mutual admiration club, eh, what say? Ty for dropping in.
@ Illusionaire: That's what we women are all about: multitasking :) This morning, though, I had a bit of a close shave when I was typing out an sms to my boss while driving. Nearly didn't realise the car in front of me had stopped, so I slammed the brakes American-movie style. Keimahin ka bu suau :)
WOW! Just got home giving my grandparents a lift to Jail Veng(I think), and let me just say, I don't envy you at all. It's just amazing that you took the time to take pictures. I thought my college route was bad enough. With the route you have to take everyday...ummm...it's like the road to heaven and hell, your's being the road to heaven, for that is considered to be the more arduous. The scenic route was ravishing though. Hope its renoveted soon, for everyone's sake especially yours :).

@Darkpoet: I never thought of this as the road to heaven, but now that you mention it, it seems like an apt analogy...except for one thing... heaven lies not at the end of this particular arduous journey :(. Work awaits, hehe. Thanks for the good wishes, though.
